Description:
The Office of Subsistence Management invites the submission of proposals for fisheries investigation studies to be initiated under the 2006 Fisheries Resource Monitoring Program (Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance Number 15.636). In 2006, approximately $1.3 million will be available to fund new monitoring and research projects needed to sustain Federal subsistence fisheries for rural Alaskans on Federal lands; remaining funding is obligated to existing projects. Because this is the lowest amount of funding available for new projects since inception of the program in 2000, this request for proposals is very specific. Refer to Section I. Funding Opportunity Description in the Request for Proposal Criteria at the Funding Opportunity URL activated below. This RFP will result in awards made through both federal assistance (cooperative agreements) and procurement (contract) instruments. This RFP is the single designated annual competition through which multiple awards will be made. A "twin" synopsis of this RFP # 701815R010 is simultaneously posted on http://www.fedbizopps.gov . There is no solicitation packet to request; nor is there a "bidder's list" upon which to register.
